Sarah Hau commissioned a new logo to go with her Etsy artisan business. The logo needed to be fun and slightly punk.
My first thoughts turned to what ‘Thread Bear’ would look like? After lots of sketches I simplified the result to the icon of a slightly bruised and battered Teddy that appeals to the kid in all of us. Adding a few bits of paint sprays and dribbles, along with a stencil font gave it a much more urban appeal whilst still retaining the fun aspect.
The bear icon works really well on it’s own and as the brand progresses will be moved to be much more central in the promotional material.
